Pabin Shrestha

Mr. Prabin Shrestha is a biodiversity and environmental professional with extensive experience in biodiversity conservation, botany, wetland management, NTFP assessment, environmental assessment, field research, and natural resource management in Nepal. He holds an M.Sc. in Botany, specializing in Ecology and Natural Resource Management (2017) from Tribhuvan University and a B.Sc. in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (2013) from Tribhuvan University.

He has been associated with Conservation Development Foundation (CODEFUND) since 2018, initially working as a Program Assistant and contributing to assignments related to integrated rural development planning, wetland biodiversity assessment and management planning, and preparation of Ramsar Information Sheets. His CODEFUND experience includes field surveys, biodiversity data collection and analysis, wetland assessment, stakeholder consultation, NTFP research, and technical report preparation.

He has also worked with several consulting and research organizations as a Researcher/Biodiversity Expert, Botanist, NTFP Expert, Biologist, Field Coordinator, and Environment Specialist. His professional competencies include biodiversity and plant surveys, NTFP inventory and prioritization, environmental assessment (EIA/IEE/BES), GIS-based mapping, field data collection and analysis, stakeholder consultation, and technical reporting.
