National workshop relating to project entitled ‘Establishment of the National Network of Ramsar Sites and Other Wetlands in Nepal’ has been successfully completed

National workshop relating to project entitled ‘Establishment of the National Network of Ramsar Sites and Other Wetlands in Nepal’ has been successfully completed with conclusion needs of the network for sustainable conservation of the Ramsar Sites and Other Wetlands in Nepal on Dec. 27, 2022. It will play great role in effective implementation of program and activities and systematic collection of information relating to the Ramsar Sites and wetlands of the Nepal.
The workshop was organized under participation of representatives from Ministry of Forests and Environment (MoFE), Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC), Department of Forests and Soil Conservation (DoFSC), National Lake Conservation Development Committee (NLCDC), WWF-Nepal, IUCN Nepal, Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN), Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ), and Zoological Society of London (ZSL) Nepal etc.
The project was granted to Conservation Development Foundation (CODEFUND) by Ramsar Regional Centre – East Asia (RRC-EA), Korea and endorse by DNPWC. Along with accomplishment of the workshop, all project activities as per the proposal has been completed. Now CODEFUND is finalizing the final technical and financial report for submission.
