Participation in 8th Wetland Link International – Asia Conference

Wetland Link International (WLI) is a global network of wetland education centers, founded in 1991 by Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT) and supporters. It is endorsed by the Ramsar Convention as a key mechanism that supports wetland education centers in implementing CEPA (communication, capacity building, education, participation and awareness) activities at wetland sites.
In this context, the Wetland Link International (WLI) – Asia Conference is a biennial conference that provides a venue for members of WLI-Asia, including managers and stakeholders of wetland centers, to regularly convene, share updated information, and discuss planned activities for the network.
Against this backdrop, the Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA), in collaboration with the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetland, Inc. (SCPW), WLI Global, Las Piñas – Parañaque Wetland Park (LPPWP) and with the support of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources
– National Capital Region (DENR-NCR), the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity, and NVH Global Limited, successfully hosted in a hybrid format the second part of the 8th WLI – Asia Conference on 26-29 July 2022 in Las Piñas City, Philippines.
On behalf of CODEFUND Mr. Shailendra Kumar Pokharel, Chief Executive Director and Mr. Juddha Bahadur Gurung, preceding president had actively participated in the Conference.
